Last week:
My mom came to visit

Dax had bronchitis and strep throat. For two days he had a stomach and leg aches and then woke up in the middle of the night with the worst cough and choked up a little blood. Then for the first couple of days he just nodded his head to communicate. He was absolutely miserable for 3 days.

Greg left for Arizona for CE (Continued Education) for 4 days.

Emmett started to get a little hoarse, running a fever and being really fussy so I took him to the doctor where he was diagnosed with RSV and double ear infections. From that point on it has been around the clock care. At times: Emmett is insatiable, cries inconsolably, arches his back in pain, is completely congested, has breathing treatments every 4 hours, is not sleeping well, needs to be bounced constantly, wakes up every two to three hours at night, cries when you sit down with him, has to be elevated, screams when he eats cause he can't swallow and rarely smiles. It has been so hard watching my children be so sick and completely and utterly exhausting.

I ended up taking Emmett to the ER on Saturday because his breathing quickened and he stopped eating (which I was told to do by my doctor). But apparently they only emit babies with RSV if they're lethargic, which he's not, thankfully. But I was just really worried about him and didn't know what else to do. It did give me piece of mind because they did an x-ray that showed he didn't have pneumonia. RSV lasts 7-10 days so we've got about 2-4 days left.

My mom's visit was completely spontaneous. How thankful I am for the promptings from the Holy Ghost as I really don't know what I would have done without her (she left this morning). She was either playing UNO with the boys or walking the floor with a screaming baby.

Oh, I am so sorry- You have really had your hands full. Guess I shouldn't complain that my kids are sick for a day. What a blessing to have your mom there to help. Love the picture of the 6 of you together. You look a lot like your mom:)

Prayers coming your way! Love you!
