Mr. Personality! He is so much fun to have around. Although he nearly pulled an all-nighter last night and is super super fussy today for some reason (I think it may have been his shots) he is a good good baby (I hope).

Nolan can be difficult: picking on Lucas more than anyone and throwing some serious attitude (much like Lucas did at this age.....sigh.....it's going to be a long few years if he follows in his footsteps as Lucas just barely got past this stage and I can finally say that I really do love my child) but he is constantly making us laugh. And....he just barely went to nursery for the 1st time ever!

Lucas is the master hoarder. I find his little lego works of art everywhere around the house as he fears that Nolan will get them and destroy them. Nolan would get them and he does destroy them all while looking straight at Lucas. Here Lucas is unloading the silverware with a backpack full of blankets, food and animals to take on his hunting trip. The gun case holds his toy shotgun and Nerf gun all of which he is afraid of Nolan putting his little sweet hands on.

The boys will say something really lame like "You're not my friend anymore" to one another when they don't quite agree with what the other one is doing so Greg told them to say something a little more manly like "Go pound salt". Yesterday Dax had a couple rough minutes at the piano and because he didn't like that I was telling him to sit there until he was done practicing he told me "Go pound salt, mom!" After scrubbing the door inside and out and cleaning his room all by himself, he learned that maybe that's not the thing to do. We've just started initiating wall sits (thank you Geary's) so maybe we'll use that next time.

On the way home from school the other day I asked Dax if he was still sitting by the same two boys in class.
Dax: No, I sit by Alex (girl) and Jayden (boy)
Me: Do you like sitting by them?
Dax: Not the girl
Me: Why?
Dax: I just don't like girls
Me: They can be your friends
Dax: BUT THEY ARE NOT MY FRIENDS!
I can only imagine Greg having this same conversation with his mom 24 years ago as he didn't really take notice to girls until about 8 years ago when he married me!

off to hold a very fussy baby.....

Cute post, Shalet. What cute kids.

Lucas cracks me up toting around his back pack and gun case while doing chores!

And good luck with the fussy baby-not easy!

Good grief, Emmett is the SPITTING IMAGE of you Shalet! Lucky him!

John and I laughed about Greg's instructions to "stop talking about your feelings-- say something MANLY!" You guys have a fun, funny family.

Now go get some sleep! Tell Emmett that he's got to go for the whole night long this time.

Eating dough! Just let him eat too much and all that yeast in his belly will convince him to never eat it again!.
I need to think of something girly for Charlotte to say - she tells them that they are not her boys anymore.
Love your baby pictures, I so need you to take them of Tennyson - How do you get them all to look so dang good.
