A few facts:
I signed Dax up for school this week and I am absolutely dreading the school days beginning. I've thought about doing home school, but I think a lot of my reasons right now are for the wrong reasons so hence a kindergartner we will have in the house in a week and a half.

I really wanted to be in Park City, UT yesterday where a bunch of friends got together but I couldn't afford the flight.

It sounds like we live in a rain forest every night about dusk when the cicadas come out. They are intense and powerful.

I still don't know what my due date is. The first time I got an ultrasound the nurse set me back two weeks later than what I had calculated. Two weeks is a big deal (to me) so I disregarded her due date. The second time I got an ultrasound I was just so relieved that there was no fluid and baby looked healthy I forgot to ask. The third ultrasound I got I was absolutely certain I was having a girl so I was a little tiny bit emotional and failed once again to ask the due date. I'm completely over the emotional bit and excited to have another boy!! The nurse did say I was measuring right about 23 weeks (which is where I thought I was too) so I think I'm due sometime around the 15th of November.

The other day at the state park I saw a lady about 75 yards away bathing nude. I really wanted to walk over there and ask her to cover up, but then my children would have noticed; as it was they were completely oblivious trying to kill a snake. So hence she squatted and bathed under a spigot and gave her guy friend a nice shimmy when she was all done. I. Could. Not. Believe. It.

Last week it was 98 felt like 113 --with humidity. It was awful.

Sometimes I yell at my children. I hate, hate, hate doing that. Greg and I decided that we never want to do that....again. One day at a time.

I miss being surrounded by friends that I could talk to every day.

We miss our family.

We love being here.

I can't believe Dax starts school so soon! I still have 3 weeks before my kindergartner starts.

I really got a kick out of the naked lady story-- I can just imagine you in that situation. Good thing for snakes. (in this instance)

I'll never forget what a GREAT example of a mom you were to me. We all lose our cool once in awhile... don't beat yourself up.

Miss you, miss you, miss you...

We really missed you over the weekend! Next year, make sure you are there! It's not the same without you. I hope you are enjoying where you are at. I know how hard it is to move away from all your friends, but you are an awesome woman, and an awesome mother (don't worry, I hate when I yell at my kids, too). Good luck with a kid in school. I now have three in school!

Missed you too, Shalet.
Glad things are going well for you.
(I yell at my kids too.)

Yay Dax! What a big boy. Hope kindergarten goes well for him. I can imagine him sitting there on the rug, wide-eyed and very quiet!

Sorry about the naked lady-- I'm just curious, was it an old woman or a young woman? I think that makes a difference-- I see old obese women showering naked at gyms, but when it's someone young that just feels so weird to me!
