Emmett's starting to get a little mobile.

Loves baby food, being held, and is the absolute sweetest lil thing.

Ya know, it really doesn't seem like I get anything done during the day. Even though I try to keep things from becoming utterly chaotic here, today there was nothing I could do about Dax dropping Emmett on his head on the tile in our kitchen, or the boys breaking the curtain rod, or Dax hitting, kicking or flicking his brothers, or the boys thinking it's really cool to fill their empty plastic popsicle pops with urine, or dumping a whole bunch of water on their floor in their room in the process of make-believe eating, or rolling Nolan up in his blanket and pushing him off the couch. You would not believe the amount of tears that are shed throughout the day (like right NOW, Greg's gone and I guess I'm done caring for a minute!!) Ahhhhhhh....it can be so overwhelming!

And there was certainly nothing I could do about this:

The boys thought they'd cut hair as I guess the one I gave them yesterday didn't suffice. Dax's isn't nearly as bad. But, seriously? At least it gave me something to laugh right out loud about!

Minutes up.....off to put out some fires.

Oh My GOSH!!! I don't know if I laughed harder at the peeing in popsicle tubes or Lucas' hair! We sure do miss you guys. I was looking at my blog book and came across our memories together... the last being all of our kids toasting with a popsicle a few days before we moved- with all the boxes stacked in the back. Think of you often and am so glad to see you are well (even if a little overwhelmed:) )

Shalet-I love that you wrote this, because I was feeling pretty overwhelmed today as well. But we had nothing compared to peeing in a popsicle cup! Just Audrey running wild in the stores or the parking lot-despite my best efforts to make hand holding a game. :)

Love it. Boys (kids) are so creative. I have resorted to making the boys sing I am Trying to Be Like Jesus every time they fight. Hopefully they will know that song by heart soon or if we are lucky knock it off ... now. Wish we were there.

Oh Shalet, you are an excellent mom! I just loved reading this! A house full of young kids is always full of something, happy and sad. Thanks for making me laugh and I'll be sure to think about this next time my kids are doing something crazy!
