For Daxton's birthday I put a little bit of time into a Christmas tree cake (at his request) and neither him nor Lucas took one bit of the entire cake. Greg and I pretty much downed the whole thing ourselves in a matter of days. I. Love. Sheet Cake! Lucas wanted an airplane cake, but I didn't want to add another couple of pounds to my midsection so we opted for a rice crispy airplane cake. Lucas thought is was "really cool" and the boys ate most of it!
p.s. Lucas is a little bigger, faster and stronger, but informed me that he still has to be a little bit older to make his bed all by himself. lame. :)

Happy Birthday Lukey!! Ohhh those adorable boys are just growing up so fast!
What a GREAT idea. My kids always want shaped birthday cakes and I am always thinking, can't you love something rectangular?!? But Rice Krispies!! Moldable, kid-appealing, and yes, I don't think I would be quite so tempted to eat the entire thing for breakfast myself the next day.
I am so bad at commenting. Sorry. Happy Late Birthday to Lucas! Super cute. My kids never eat the cake either.
