I called Grandma Godfrey yesterday to wish her a Happy Birthday. As we were talking I didn't go into anything specific, just mentioned that we've been really busy, commented on how ornery my kids were that day, noted how demanding school has been for Greg, and that it just hasn't been very easy, she said, "Some days are just really hard, aren't they?" I am sure grateful that there are only some but also thankful that others see it that way too.

I thought of this talk by Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Twelve Apostles, "Hope Ya Know, We Had a Hard Time": http://www.lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-947-32,00.html

Life was never intended to be easy for any one of us. But every once in a while I catch a glimpse of why that's the best part realizing the trials the Lord has placed before me have stretched me just a little bit more to prepare me for the challenges I will face in the future. It's not suppose to be easy, but I know it will be worth it.

It's true! And for every time we think we have it bad someone else has it worse. Sometimes it is easier to focus on whats going wrong the the blessings that we have been given. Like the good times pass the bads ones will too!
