"Children"
They are idols of hearts and of households,
They are angels of God in disguise.
The sunlight still sleeps in their tresses,
His glory still gleams in their eyes.
These truants from home and from Heaven
They have made me more manly and mild,
And I know now how Jesus could liken,
The Kingdom of God to a child.

Just a quick update on the idols of my heart:

As Lucas would say, "the little guy is super, duper, super, duper, duper close to crawlin" and is in need of a haircut.

Me: K, Nolan let's go potty in the toilet.
Nolan: R'did just did go potty in the toilet!
(As he's sitting in a puddle on the couch...things are going well)

Luke hasn't slept through the night for the past 3 months but has the best facial expressions ever.

And this guy had his first day of school today. This year we talked a lot about the evils of the world that can ruin our minds and destroy our spirits and how important it is to stay far far away from those things. Some of which include pornography, vulgar language, drugs, drinking and smoking. Greg and I hope that this scripture and our constant reminder of both our love and our Father in Heaven's love for them will help them be strong and never afraid to run away from the horrible things of this world.
Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

That baby of yours, I just want to give him a squeeze. I'm pretty in love with my chubby baby boys, we'll see how this girl thing goes . . . Way to go teaching your son all of the things he needs to keep him strong. You are doing a fantastic job. Sleeping through the night and potty training, ugh, but they know you love them, so you're still winning. Also loved (felt sorry for!) the post about the crazy stuff they do. Good to know mine aren't the only ones! I tell my husband that if things aren't worse around here when he comes home than when he left, I've been working my tail off. If they're somehow better, it is divine intervention. :)
