I found this tree frog perched right here when I opened the lid to the toilet early one morning. It's a dang good thing I have boys, as I'm not really the bug lovin type. They came running. Dax tried to grab him and then he jumped in the toilet. 2 seconds later he jumped on the sliding glass mirror next to the toilet. Lucas grabbed a hold of him and together they chucked him off the porch.

Ten minutes later he was here. Dirty bugger. We still have absolutely no clue how he got in and why Greg couldn't have found him a half an hour earlier before when he left for work is beside me!

I really like this little guy. He is talking so much, repeating almost anything we say and probably only we can understand, but it's cute! He's a good baby and I don't think he'll be too happy to have another baby around here in two months. Should. Be. Fun!!

Lucas was riding almost 2 miles on our walk every day on a flat tire, slanted training wheels and broken spokes. We finally bought him a new bike and he loves it.

This is the beginnings of Dax's wagon for the teddy bear parade coming up next week at school.

Greg loves, loves, loves homemade strawberry jam. His favorite is having it smothered over vanilla bean ice cream.

The start of our walk everyday.

The weather has cooled a bit this week and I think along with it went my poor attitude! I thought of this quote from "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" in which Francie says, "Dear God, Let me be something every minute of every hour in my life. Let me be gay; let me be sad. Let me be cold; let me be warm. Let me be sincere.....Let me be truthful....Let me be honorable. Only let me be something every blessed minute. And when I sleep, let me dream all the time so that not one little piece of living is ever lost". I've set a few goals for myself that have helped me believe that I am being something.

Did you scream when you saw the frog? (Not that frogs are worth screaming over, but almost sitting on a frog when you're about to use the bathroom might make me scream.)

We are camping in Nauvoo this weekend with the Rowans! We would love to meet up with you guys or go to church with you on Sunday if you're around. Your town is about 30 minutes north of Nauvoo, right? What time does your ward meet on Sunday? Any suggestions for fun things to do or see while we're there? We heard there's a rodeo coming to town this weekend-- would that be worth our time? Hopefully we'll get to see you soon!

I can't believe Dax is already going to school! it seemed like it was just yesterday he was the cute little quiet 4 year old boy in primary.

EHhh a frog a in the house! We get lizards in our house. Dennis thinks they are cool, I don't. I told him I would vacuum them up and he got after me.:)
I think I'd take a lizard over a frog though.
