A few weeks ago we walked outside only to find that Daxton's bike seat had been stolen with a few remaining pieces still on the ground. A week after that our manager had a bike in his basement that he was getting rid of and it ended up being perfect for Dax. Dax was elated about the cup holder and bell that were included. A few days later he told his dad that he wanted the training wheels taken off. I wasn't there to witness the beginnings but Greg said, "he didn't have to try, he just did it"' and continues to every morning when we go out. The first day we did this I looked up from pushing my double stroller to see Dax flying in the air on one side and his bike on the other ending in a scrapped knee and a few tears but he got right back on and rode the rest of the way.
Last week we took Dax and Lucas to see "their" dentist. The results: Dax has LOTS of cavities and Lucas has the potential to be even worse. So Dax will have to make numerous trips to the dental school in the next month and Lucas will possibly be helped by a dentist willing to put him out and get it done all at once. A bit embarrassing to admit, but it's not because they eat a bunch of snacks it's because they "graze"-- eat ALL day.
Dax said the other day as Lucas got on the couch to join ALL of us for our morning scripture study "Wow, how many Godfrey's can you fit on a couch?"
Since the primary program that neither Dax nor Lucas participated in due to bashfulness, Lucas walks around singing/yelling "RIGHTEOUSLY, Righteously, R I G H T E O U S L Y!"
Nolan is a whoppin 19.7 lbs at 6 months old, can roll over, has a different schedule every day, smiles a whole lot and gets rounder every day.
