Dax loves to be outside and it is "never long enough". I take him out everyday while Lucas is sleeping (as Lucas hates to be cold). I follow Dax all over the place being his little friend for a while. Today, though, Dax's big best friend got to come home for a while during class and made an enormous snowman (all Dax and I mustered the other day was one about a foot high .. . pretty pathetic). Dax was surely impressed with his Dad's snowman making abilities!
It seems that every time I turn around these two are feeding off each other somehow. This week it's been "Let's take the drawers out and climb in".... and then cry cause we can't get out. Then we'll do our hair with just a little lotion and lastly we'll sit down and play a few games on Dad's friends' phone. Some days I'm so exhausted with these two. Hourly it's "Read us books, can I color, let's play a game, I want to play trains now tractors now legos, can I watch a movie, I'm really hungry, "Mil" (milk, milk and more milk--Lucas), read me a book, can I do my letters, etc. etc. etc."
I was thinking tonight though, as they were once again feeding off each other and laughing histerically in the bathtub while spitting water at each other that there is nothing so sweet as children laughing and playing and getting along even if it's just moments in time.

I just have to say that Sydney and Connor were spitting water at each other in the tub the other day too and I just couldn't stop them because they were laughing and having a good ol' time and I had all the same thoughts you just put so well. Hope you are feeling okay!
I have pics of Jayce and Grahm with lotion in their hair. Why are they so creative!
HA! I'm so glad it's not just my kids...sometimes I feel like they self entertain for about 30 seconds a day, and all the rest is Mom read to me! Play I spy with me! Build us a fort! Feed me feed me feed me!! I love it for a while but can I get an intermission from all the wonderful attention?!? You're a sport to do it pregnant...hang in there!
I loved the snow man!!!! I was so sad when I looked out the window and it had been knocked down. Dax informed me that "the snotty nosed kid pushed it over" I loved his explanation.
This is Sky - I too agree that the snowman was really cool! We need to find the "Snotty nosed kid" and bury him in the snow!
Great pictures Shalet! Hope you guys have a great Christmas!
