Our August summer vacation in Utah and Idaho:

Visiting with old friends, a trip to the mountains, Twin Falls Temple Open House, swimming, restaurant hopping, four-wheeling, family time . . .

Swimming, grandmas buggy rides, playing dress up, mo-ped rides, golfing, fishing, hiking, and a lot more family time!!

I learned a few valuable lessons this trip:
(1) I learned that I love Idaho. The big open space, no neighbors, miles and miles of green fields, the sprinklers going all night long, dry heat, dry heat, dry heat. I wish I would have loved it as much growing up as I do now.
(2) We went to the Twin Falls Temple Open House and I was so excited to be able to take my kids, however, after a small mis-hap with my younger brother, two hungry, ornery, crying children I found myself completely frustrated. And now, sadly enough that moment is gone. I'll never have that opportunity again to walk with Dax and Lucas through those sacred temple halls while they are small children and talk to them about the importance while inside. Once again, "Carpe Diem" or "Cease the Moment".
(3) The fact that I love being close to family was a lesson reiterated. The day I left for college I told my mom I'd never be back and now I can't wait to make my way home. Hopefully the opportunity is available to us when the time comes to look for a practice. Watching my children play with their cousins and love being near their grandparents I just can't see it any other way. Dax packs his bags everyday to head back to Idaho and Utah.
