oh the fun we have had . . .

We took a trip the Washington, D.C. with some friends that are also Dental Students and from Cache Valley. If you can believe it there is twice as many trees there as there are here in Wisconsin. It was pretty breathtaking. We spent three days there and went a hundred miles an hour trying to see all we could. It was a lot of fun.
Saying from the World War II Memorial.
Kindof the common joke on the trip was who was getting the bigger and the better--anything. Greg won this time with the icecream cone at the airport. Our plane was delayed 3 hours due to inclement weather so they decided to get cones. Dennis deciding once he saw the size of Greg's. It was just pretty comical that there was so much difference between the two for the same price!!

"The White House" We weren't actually able to get very close but it was an extravagant view from where we were.

The Natural History Museum-- we loved it!

The Lincoln Memorial through the rain and the fog.

The Lincoln Memorial in the background.
The Biggest Trouper of All. Once we were home I took him to his 6 month appointment only to find out he had an ear infection. Those random fevers throughout the trip weren't just a cold after all.
Amber and I in the Union Station. It's an old train station they renovated.
View of the reflection pond, the Washington Memorial and the Capitol Building in the background from the Lincoln Memorial.

Worn out at 11:30 p.m. in the Milwaukee airport.

Abraham Lincoln Memorial

Dax's number one thrill: the train. We rode the metro all over D.C.--it was just the best way to get around that crazy city.

We're half crazy to have made the trip with kids but they were all such good sports.

View from the Capitol: the Washington Memorial with the Lincoln memorial behind that.

An attempt to build a sand castle.

My family (a whopping 15 of them) came out to see us. We went shopping, to baseball games, sightseeing, went to Kholer Design Center, Whistling Straits Golf Course (just to take a gander), swimming, golfing and to the Jelly Belly Factory. It was some great entertainment!

My mom with Jase Murphy and Lucas

My Dad

All the kids at the Jelly Belly Factory (likely just a one time occurance as it was pretty lame)

Dax and Tayli

Dax and Sadiez at the game

I dropped my camera and broke my good lens and then forgot to haul my other one around so needless to say I didn't get much of my family vacationing here.

Dax sure misses you and asks "Where'd those guys go?" He'd have you all come back tomorrow if he could. Thanks for coming to see us and for putting up with the "schedule". We loved seeing you!

Looks like a fun trip and so fun to have your family out. We never made it to DC when we were Milwaukee but I sure wish we had. It's so full of history!
