"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body" ~Elizabeth Stone

Greg's parents made the trip out to see us during our summer break. We went to the zoo, shopping, played in the sand, went to the Kohler Product Display Show room, sight seeing, restaurant hopping and reminisced. It was fun!

Diggin holes for Daxton

Overlooking Lake Michigan

Bundled in the heat to refrain from being sunburnt

There were dead fish everywhere on the beach and some half-way holding on to life. Daxton couldn't resist playing with them -- dead or alive.

Grandma's treat for us all--although Dax took care of it!

Having the time of his life on the community skateboard.

"I push Wucas!"

"Take me out to the ball game . . ." We finally made it to a Brewer's game on Memorial Day. The stadium was packed. Dax now says, "We won't go the the game." We weren't really surprised by the fact that he didn't enjoy himself. We are slowing learning that Dax is a super sensitive child. He is scared of peacocks, monkeys, hand blow dryers in pubic bathrooms, Santa Claus and fire dancers and anything that seems a bit unnatural to him. Then on the other hand he is such a sweet child. The moment he wakes up he wants to know, "Where'd Wucas go?" He loves to have books read to him and wishes that someone could lay by him "just for a sec" for bedtime. He has so much affection for life in general. I know it probably sounds silly, but often times Greg and I, before we go to bed, sit and laugh about all the funny things Dax does during the day. He has such a charismatic nature about him and is always making us smile.

"Our other pride and joy"

Lucas has been such a better baby now that he is on the previcid solutab. As a mother, he brings so much sweetness and bliss into my life. I love that for another brief moment in time, I have someone that needs and depends on me for everything. There is something so special about babies.

"It is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us" ~Charles Dickens
